The Department of Chemistry, KAIST, invited Professor Yan Xia at Stanford University as a recipient of the KAIST Chemical Science and Engineering Lectureship in 2023. Dr. Seo is hosting Professor Xia, who was a host at Stanford University during his sabbatical leave.

This week, Professor Xia will give three lectures in the short course entitled “New Ways to Manipulate Chemical Bonds in Polymer Chemistry,” discussing olefin metathesis polymerization, mechanochemistry, and circular polymers. He will also give a department seminar titled “Building and Breaking Macromolecular Ladders to Develop Unusual Materials.” He will also meet people in the chemistry department, including the MMCL members, and attend an MMCL group meeting.
