Welcome Jooyeon to the Group!

The group welcomes Dr. Jooyeon Lee as a new postdoc. Jooyeon received a bachelor degree in Chemistry from Chungbuk National University in 2018 and joined Prof. Min Kim’s group in the same university as a graduate student. Jooyeon synthesized metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) possessing different organic functionalities which could be combined with polymeric materials via covalent bonds to produce MOF-polymer composites. In collaboration with us and Prof. Jong Suk Lee’s group at Sogang University, she demonstrated that the composites could be used as mixed matrix membranes with distinct gas separation features (see the paper published in ACS Applied Nano Materials here). After receiving her Ph.D. degree, she went abroad and joined Prof. Kangsang Lee’s group at the University of Central Florida working on silicon chemistry. At KAIST, Jooyeon will be working as part of the InnoCore team “HydroStudio powered by AI”, led by Prof. Hyun-kon Song at UNIST. Welcome, Jooyeon!
